"Hot, Flat and Crowded: Why we need a green revolution and how it can renew America" is the latest title from New York Times' columnist Thomas Friedman.I so enjoyed his previous book – The World is Flat.
Chapter 1, page 1 starts with an advertising slogan used on a billboard in South Africa by Daimler to promote its Smart "forfour" compact car (these are really cool by the way – can't wait to see them in the US):
"German engineering, Swiss innovation, American nothing".
Ouch. I am assuming that the next 437 pages covers the revolution and renewal bit mentioned in the subtitle.
I will let you know!
